Pop art is an art movement that emerged in Britain and the United States during the 1950s. The movement included imagery from popular culture, such as advertising and comic books.

Andy Warhol was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on August 6th, 1928 and he died in New York City on February 22nd, 1987 (aged 58).
Warhol was an American artist, director and producer who was a leading person in the pop-art movement. he used a range of media with in his work including painting, silkscreening, photography, film and sculpture. His most known work includes his paintings of Campbell's Soup Cans and his pop-art painting of Marilyn Monroe.
